The CVN lab is looking to hire a postdoc for a two-year position at the University of Alabama, department of Biological sciences.

The Comparative Vertebrate Neurodegeneration lab, led by Dr. Nicole Ackermans at the University of Alabama, is recruiting a postdoc in neuroscience. Start date is flexible.
The main focus of our group is to better understand traumatic brain injury (TBI) and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) using goat headbutting as a model for human repetitive head injury.
You should be able to create and run experimental protocols from data collection to publication. Experience in neuroscience beneficial, as is fluent English. This position is supported for two years. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree when finalizing the contract.
Dr. Ackermans’ mentorship style focuses on guiding lab members towards their goals and supports career development opportunities while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
